As an open innovation platform for sustainable process technology and circularity, Brightsite aims to bring together the necessary knowledge from many parties. Facilities are provided for upscaling and commercial demonstration. This makes Chemelot an internationally leading living lab. Choosing and developing the right technologies to achieve the transition to a green chemical industry is one thing, but safety and social acceptance are also important. In addition, the technology must be optimally integrated into the system and we must ensure that we have people who can implement it. After all, it is not only about the climate, but also about continuity and employment. Brightsite currently includes 6 coherent program lines.
