Green Chemistry, New Economy calls on the Dutch Parliament to continue circular policy (Dutch only)

News

Due to the fall of the Rutte IV government in the Netherlands, there is uncertainty surrounding the necessary industrial transition towards circular products and materials. Despite significant investments by both the government and businesses in this new circular economy, the progress is at risk.

The Platform for Green Chemistry and the New Economy, of which Brightsite Managing Director Arnold Stokking is the chairman, urges the Dutch Parliament not to declare circular policy instruments as controversial which means they should not delay or dispute these policies.

Urgently needed, this transition is in its early stages, with most essential technologies still scaling up. Stimulative policies are necessary to remove obstacles and accelerate this vital transition towards a sustainable green economy.
