Vertoro is the first Limburg-based company to receive a subsidy from the European Just Transition Fund (JTF)

Vertoro, located on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus, is the first company in Limburg to secure a grant from the European Just Transition Fund (JTF). Additionally, it will receive co-financing from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. With a grant of €1,228,665, Vertoro plans to scale up its factory for the production of bio-oil from biomass. This bio-oil will serve as a source of sustainable raw materials for the chemical industry on a large scale, marking a significant leap forward in the greening of Chemelot.
